Optoelectronics Letters - Call for papers: Special Issue On Optoelectronic and Photonic Solutions in Biomedical Engineering

SCOPE

In recent years, the emergence of advanced biomedical engineering and its applications has attracted significant research interest from optoelectronics and photonics community. The unique properties of optoelectronics and photonics in accordance with their nanostructures open up the advancements in various properties like bandwidth, efficiency, enhanced operation speed, cost efficient, compactness, and an efficient system integration with new functionalities.

The wide-range of optoelectronics, photonics and its nanostructures not only integrates and incorporates easily into the biomedical applications, but it also gives rise to the exploitation of both optical and photonic and electrical properties in biomedical applications at a Nanoscale. This in turn opens up more novel technological advancements and innovative solutions for biomedical engineering practices like biomedical fabrication, surgical visualization, ultra-fast nanoscale photonic components, nano biophotonics, Nano sensing, and detection, optical interconnects and fabrication, novel biomedical sensing and active photovoltaic models.

Hence, advanced photonic capabilities help to secure and optimize the performance of biomedical applications. The further exploration of photonic and optical capabilities and technologies will meet the increasing demands and challenges posed by the emerging biomedical applications.
