Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering - Deadline for Special Issue on “Bioaerosol, Environment and Health” has been extended to June 30, 2020

Background, Objectives and Scope

Bioaerosols are airborne microorganisms with fragments and particulate matter of biological origin such as virus, bacteria, and fungal spores. These small biological particles can affect human health by causing infectious diseases, acute toxic reactions, and allergies. Outbreaks of 2019-nCoV, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and influenza H1N1 viral infections across the globe have attracted worldwide attention. Therefore, the bioaerosol is widely concerned. The proposed special issue will invite contributions that represent various aspects of science and technology and recent innovations in the field of bioaerosol.

The main topics include:

  • Fundamental of bioaerosol and airborne infection disease
  • Analysis and identification of bioaerosol in various environment
  • Bioaerosol source, formation, transport and deposition
  • Impact of bioaerosol on health and environment
  • Bioaerosol inactivation and control technologies
  • Case studies of airborne infection and its prevention
