Journal of Central South University - Call for paper Special issue on “Energy and sustainable developement”
Energy demands are increasing continuously and development of sustainable technologies in energy systems is a critical and vital concern. Providing the required energy for social and economic needs in line with diminishing the environmental effects and pollution emissions is necessary to meet sustainable development. Design of new energy systems with improved efficiency, securing the energy need, use of clean and renewable energy sources, reducing energy losses and pollutions, and expanding the availability and access to energy are the key elements of sustainable energy development.
The objective of proposing this special issue is to provide a top-notch platform for world renowned researchers in the area of energy and sustainable development to report their most up-to-date high-quality progress and highlight the possible future directions from their professional insights. Theoretical, numerical and experimental studies, model development, engineering applications, system analyses and designs on sustainable energy development techniques are highly welcome to this special issue. Proposed sub-topics of this special issue include, but are not limited to the following:
1- New technologies to improve energy systems efficiency
2- Renewable and sustainable energy sources (solar, wind, hydro-power, biomass, geothermal, …)
3- Solar energy technologies
4- Environmental and pollution control of energy systems
5- Energy storage and application
6- Hydrogen energy
7- Waste energy reduction and utilization
8- Carbon capture and storage
9- Desalination and water treatment
10- Optimization of energy systems
11- Mathematical modeling of sustainable energy systems
12- Machine learning applications in sustainable energy development
Only applied studies with direct relation to energy and sustainable development will be considered for review. Pure mathematical studies and classic problems about flow and energy analysis in cavity, rotating disk, stretching sheet, etc., will not be processed.
Proposed timeline for the special issue:
Submission opens: 1 October, 2022
Submission deadline: 30 May, 2023
Notification of acceptance deadline: 30 August, 2023
Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at https://mc03.manuscriptcentral.com/jcsu (this opens in a new tab). Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline (30 May 2023). All papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published shortly after acceptance continuously online and listed together as a special issue for the journal. Research articles and review articles are invited.
Journal of Central South University is indexed by SCI, Scopus, Google Scholar, EI, CNKI and its SCI impact factor is 2.392 in 2021. The Journal mainly publishes original academic papers which represent the latest research achievements in such fields as materials science and engineering, metallurgical science and engineering, mineral processing, geology and mining, chemical engineering, and mechanical, electronic and information engineering. The Journal also publishes review article on the latest trends in the developments and their applications above fields.
