Dear Colleagues:

Laser processing and micro/nano technologies have attracted wide attention and made remarkable achievements in the field of material science, micro/nano-optics, electronic components, and micro-mechanical systems, etc. Development and applications of efficient and accurate processing technology with high performance materials are still main research topics and remains as key challenges.

This special issue focuses on current development and applications of laser processing and micro/nano technologies with comprehensive investigation of theory and experiment. Original research and review articles are solicited, including but not limited to the following topics:

Laser-matter interactions Laser micro/nanofabricationLaser drilling, laser welding, and laser cutting etc.Advanced micro/nano technologyHigh frequency components using micro/nano technologiesMEMS/NEMSBiomedical devices with micro-fabrications

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at https://mc03.manuscriptcentral.com/jcsu (this opens in a new tab). Manuscripts can be submitted before 31 May 2022. All papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published online and listed together as a special issue for the journal (Sept. or Oct. 2022). Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited.

Journal of Central South University is indexed by SCI-E, Scopus, Google Scholar, EI, CNKI. Its SCI-E impact factor is 1.716 in 2020. It also has been selected as “the Excellence Action Plan of China’s Scientific Journals”. The Journal mainly publishes original academic papers which represent the latest research achievements in such fields as materials science and engineering, metallurgical science and engineering, mineral processing, geology and mining, chemical engineering, and mechanical, electronic and information engineering.
