Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science - Tribute to Dr. Harold W. Berkman

On December 7, 2020, Dr. Harold W. Berkman, Founding Fellow of the Academy of Marketing Science, passed away at the age of 94.  A veteran of WWII and a visionary proponent of integrating research and practice, Dr. Berkman created the Academy in the early 1970s and served as the guiding force behind the establishment of its conferences, awards endowments, and flagship publications, the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and AMS Review.  Dr. Berkman was active as the AMS Executive Vice President and Director until the end of his life, and his contributions to research, education, and service will endure for generations to come.  It has been the privilege of Springer to support the mission of AMS as publishing partner since 2007.  For more information about Dr. Berkman and the AMS, please visit https://www.ams-web.org/default.aspx (this opens in a new tab).
