Frontiers of Earth Science - Call for Papers "Special Issue on Remote Sensing and Environmental Studies on Lakes, Rivers, Watersheds, and Coastal Waters"
The environment protection is of great importance in maintaining sustainable developments of economy, especially for developing countries. It is vital to understand mechanisms of environmental changes, which may enhance our knowledge helping policy-making for environment protections. Lakes, rivers, and watersheds, as well as coastal waters are easily affected by human activities, and therefore, these inland and coastal waters have been increasingly vulnerable nowadays. However, the monitoring of environment changes is time-consuming with high costs. The advent of the remote sensing technology provides a novel and efficient methodology for the environment monitoring and studies. This special issue is to present novel research results on the remote sensing technology and environment change issues in lakes, rivers, watersheds, and coastal waters reflecting frontiers of the researches in remote sensing and environment change fields. Studies of papers in this special issue will focus on the topics as follows and those related. 1) Remote sensing theory and technology 2) Remote sensing applications on lakes, rivers, watersheds, and coastal waters 3) Environmental changes in lakes, rivers, watersheds, and coastal waters 4) hydro-dynamics of lakes, rivers, watersheds, and coastal waters Guest Editors: Prof. Jiayi Pan Prof. Adam T. Devlin Prof. Peifeng Ma Schedule for this special issue The schedule for the submission, review, and publication of articles for this special volume is as follows: Call for Paper: Starting from 15 January 2021 Submission closed on: 31 December 2021 Special Issue Publishing: 30 June 2022 Online Submission: https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/fesci (this opens in a new tab) *Please noted to choose the ‘Type’ as ‘Special Issue: Remote sensing and Environmental Studies on Lakes, Rivers, Watersheds, and Coastal Waters’ when submitting the manuscript. |
