SI: International Conference on Variable Neighborhood Search - ICVNS 2021
The Variable Neighborhood Search (VNS) metaheuristic is based on systematic changes in the neighborhood structure within a search, and has been successfully applied for solving various combinatorial, global optimization problems, and related tasks.
A special issue of Optimization Letters will be edited after the 8th International Conference on Variable Neighborhood Search (ICVNS 2021), which was recently held in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., March 22-24, 2021. Although this special issue is linked to the ICVNS 2021 conference, this Call for Papers is open to the entire community of academics and practitioners. This special issue is devoted to the most recent advances in the VNS methodology that are of theoretical or applicable interest. We solicit contributions covering a wide range of topics, including the following: theoretical or empirical analysis of VNS, new variants of deterministic and stochastic VNS, VNS and machine learning, VNS matheuristics, multi-objective VNS, parallel VNS.
Manuscripts should be prepared using Springer’s LaTeX macro package and submitted through the journal's editorial manager https://www.editorialmanager.com/optl. Each paper will be peer-reviewed according to the editorial policy of Optimization Letters. Papers should be original, unpublished, and not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.
The paper submission deadline is December 1, 2021
Please, select "S.I: ICVNS-2021" for the article type when submitting your contribution. All papers will go through a regular peer review process.
