We invite contributions that approach board games and learning or board games and STEM relationship from various theoretical and methodological vantage points. Interdisciplinary studies fall within the purview of the issue as do articles exploring board games and learning or board games and STEM from the point of view of specific disciplinary traditions. Possible topics include, but are not limited to:
- Board games as technology
- Interconnection of board games and STEM
- Board games and embodied mathematics
- Board games and interest in specific subjects
- The role of board games in the promotion and shaping of identity
- Indigenous or classic board games, minorities, and learning
- Learning and board gameplay
