Call for Papers: 2nd International Conference on Chemical, Bio, and Environmental Engineering 2021 (ChemBioEn)
Special Issue Title: Risk Assessment, Management, and Mitigation of Emerging Bio & Chemical Hazards
Dr. Nandita Dasgupta, Assistant Professor, Institute of Engineering and Technology, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India
Dr. Shivendu Ranjan, Senior Research Associate, Institute for Intelligent Systems (APK Campus), Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment, University of Johannesburg, PO Box 524, Auckland Park, 2006, Johannesburg, South Africa
Dr. Jatinder K Ratan, Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, Dr. BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, Punjab, India
Dr. Raksh Vir Jasra, Senior Vice President, Senior Vice President, Reliance Technology Group, Reliance Industries Limited, Vadodara, Gujarat, India
Dr. Priyanshu Verma, Project Manager and Scientist, Enviro Care Tech, Lucknow, India
Scope of the Special Issue
The systematic increase in bio- and chemical hazards lead to several lethal health impacts like carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, neurotoxicity, reprotoxic, endocrine disruption and many other toxic impacts. The list of such emerging chemical and bio hazards is long i.e. from nanomaterials, pharmaceutical waste, polymeric materials, pollutants, unwanted composites, agricultural / industrial wastes, residues as well as emerging resistant / lethal microbes or toxins of biological sources.
This Special Issue invites high quality original research and critical review article addressing the risk assessment, management, and mitigation of such emerging chemical and bio hazards. Areas such as safety evaluation of emerging chemical and bio-hazards, biotechnologically-derived products, and nanomaterials are included in the scope of this Special Issue and the Guest Editors also encourage submission of papers on inter-relationships between nutrition / pharmaceutical and toxicology and on in vitro techniques. The principal aim of this special issue is to publish high impact, scholarly work and to serve as a multidisciplinary forum for research in toxicology, hazards, risk assessment, management, and mitigation. Papers submitted will be evaluated based on its quality, subject matter, originality and contribution to the domain. Manuscripts should address the adverse pathway / physiological / biochemical, or pathological changes induced by specifically defined bio or chemical hazard. It should reflect the unique risk management and mitigation techniques for assessing potential toxicity, including molecular biology, mechanistic approach to decode the toxic phenomena. Further, authors should have approach of proposing the SUL / NOAEL / LOAEL value for the identified hazards of their interest. Manuscripts of local values, naïve / basic / fundamental toxicological evaluation without mechanistic approaches and in-depth studies will not be entertained by the guest editors. Irrespective of identifying the risk, authors should give in-depth, comprehensive, translational discussion which improves the value of the manuscript.
All full papers must be submitted through the Editorial Manager system (https://www.editorialmanager.com/espr/default.aspx). When submitting your manuscripts, please specify that your paper is a contribution for the Special Issue entitled ‘Risk Assessment, Management, and Mitigation of Emerging Bio & Chemical Hazards’ of 2nd International Conference on Chemical, Bio, and Environmental Engineering 2021 (ChemBioEn 2021). Conference Website: http://chembioen.in/
Please Select ‘ChemBioEn’ in the submission step.
Please also refer to the Submission Guidelines (via https://www.springer.com/journal/11356/submission-guidelines) prior to submission for the proper format of your manuscripts.
The tentative deadline for full paper submission is August 1, 2021. All submitted papers will undergo the regular peer-reviewed process. Decision of the Editors will be final and purely based on the quality of the paper.
If you need any clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are looking forward to receiving your contributions.
