Studies in Philosophy and Education is an international peer-reviewed journal that focuses on philosophical, theoretical, normative and conceptual problems and issues in educational research, policy and practice. Without adopting any one philosophical or theoretical school or cultural tradition, the journal promotes exchange and collaboration among philosophers, philosophers of education, educational and social science researchers, and educational policy makers throughout the world.
Coverage ranges widely from important methodological issues in educational research as shaped by the philosophy of science to educational policy problems as shaped by moral and social and political philosophy and educational theory. Single issues of the journal are occasionally devoted to the critical discussion of a special topic of educational and philosophical importance. A frequent 'Reviews and Rejoinders' section features book review essays with replies from the authors.

COVID-19 and impact on peer review
As a result of the significant disruption that is being caused by the COVID-19 pandemic we are very aware that many researchers will have difficulty in meeting the timelines associated with our peer review process during normal times. Please do let us know if you need additional time. Our systems will continue to remind you of the original timelines but we intend to be highly flexible at this time.
