Solar Wind at the Dawn of the Parker Solar Probe and Solar Orbiter Era

New Content ItemA special article collection with highlights of the 15th International Solar Wind Conference (Brussels, June 2018) has been published in the journal Solar Physics. Edited by Giovanni Lapenta, Andrei Zhukov, and Lidia van Driel-Gesztelyi, all contributions have been thoroughly peer reviewed.

The program of the conference was broad, covering widely all areas of solar wind research:

  • Origin and acceleration of the solar wind close to the Sun
  • Solar wind evolution during its propagation in the heliosphere
  • Connection of CMEs and ICMEs
  • Suprathermal and energetic particles in the solar wind
  • Solar wind interaction with solar system objects and dust
  • Interaction of the solar wind with the interstellar medium
  • Current and future solar and heliospheric missions

We hope you will enjoy reading these interesting contributions!
