Quantum Information Processing - Congratulations! Our Editor Anton Zeilinger won the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics.

We are happy to announce that our Editor Anton Zeilinger has been awarded the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics (this opens in a new tab), jointly with Alain Aspect and John Clauser.

Quantum Information Processing congratulates Anton Zeilinger for this achievement!

His groundbreaking experiments using entangled light particles, photons, pave the way for quantum computers, quantum networks and quantum encrypted communication.

Prof. Anton Zeilinger was born in Ried im Innkreis, Oberösterreich, Vienna in 1945. He studied undergraduate Physics and Mathematics at the University of Vienna from which he also received his PhD in Physics in 1971. 
He is currently Professor Emeritus at the University of Vienna and Senior Scientist 
at the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
