High Temperature Corrosion of Materials - From "Oxidation of Metals" to "High Temperature Corrosion of Materials"
In January 2023, the journal formerly known as Oxidation of Metals was relaunched as High Temperature Corrosion of Materials.
The first issue of Oxidation of Metals was published in March 1969. Through its 50+ years in circulation, this journal has adhered to and delivered on being the principal repository of oxidation research within the international scientific community. This is the aim that was articulated by the founding editor, Professor David L. Douglass, in his editorial for the inaugural issue of Oxidation of Metals. The focus has always been “the science of gas–solid reactions,” which is written on the header of every Oxidation of Metals cover.
