Call for Papers: Recent Trends in Smart Cities
Smart cities pose numerous challenges in several areas, from mobility, to the supply chain and more recently in various aspects of sustainability. Although there are countless efforts and contributions in this regard, it is clear that there is still a large space for research in this area. The proliferation of digital transformation and the pandemic crisis that we are still experiencing today, which has had an impact on almost all domains, brought the need to explore the benefit of using new technologies and made even more clear the importance of data collection, analysis and processing, as well as issues related to security and privacy. All this with the end goal of increasing people's quality of life and advancing the path towards cities’ sustainability. These advances are only possible and achieved as a result of research in terms of technology, supporting infrastructure and their application in real scenarios and complex systems.
