Mobile Networks and Applications - Call for Papers: Progress in Education under Recent Technology Revolution

Currently, the newest technology revolution brings a fast progress for pedagogy. The popularization of 5G network provides a new opportunity for the development of mobile education, which makes the lifelong education and fragmented education possible. Meantime, the worldwide use of AI (artificial intelligence) and big data technology are changing research domain of educational technology, and will bring novel study in individualized education and teaching reformation.

The recent technology revolution is changing the traditional education. However, there are many remaining scientific and technical problems in it. For example, how do we adjust the network architecture to ensure the QoS (quality of service)? The use of edge computing pattern and other advances of mobile networks in education is also an attractive research domain. The study of cloud platform of mobile education is another key to the effective aggregation of massive data and the service of educational resources to large-scale user groups in the online education process.

Another kind of problems in recent education is how to use AI and big data technology in teaching reformation. For example, since posture recognition is matured and used in industrial application, the relation between micro-expression recognition and study effectiveness is needed to research for teaching reformation. Meanwhile, the study of big data analysis for questions and feedback from students will bring individualized teaching to every student. The research of students teaching data will provide the relation between teaching content, and making teaching reformation.

In this way, this issue aims to provide an opportunity for researchers to publish their gifted theoretical and technological studies of advanced educational technology with recent technology revolution, and their novel real applications within this domain.
The main focus of this special issue will be on the state-of-the-art advances in the studies and emerging applications in following topics. Excellent review articles are also welcome.
