Journal of Superconductivity and Novel Magnetism - Introducing new Editor-in-Chief: Professor Jason Robinson

The Journal of Superconductivity and Novel Magnetism is proud to announce that Prof. Jason Robinson has been appointed Editor-in-Chief!

Prof. Jason Robinson

Prof Jason Robinson
Joint Head of Department of Materials Sciences and Metallurgy, University of Cambridge, UK

Jason Robinson has a Professorial Chair in Materials Physics at the University of Cambridge where he is also a joint Head of the Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy and Director of the Quantum Materials & Devices Group. His group focuses on the development of multifunctional materials and nanoelectronic devices to approach key challenges in spintronics, superconductivity, and quantum materials research. Many of the materials and devices they develop offer disruptive science and long-term potential for energy efficient applications in information communication technologies, as well as metrology. The research is highly collaborative, making use of a broad range of experimental techniques as well as theory. He has made major contributions to superconductivity and spintronics research, including the demonstration of triplet Cooper pairs at superconductor interfaces with magnetic materials and leading the field of superconducting spintronics. He received his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2008 on Josephson Pi junctions and has worked on the properties of hybrid materials and devices throughout his career. Outside the lab, he enjoys messy physics with his two daughters and mountain hiking.
