Eye Gaze During Controversial Conversations Depends on Agreement and Conversational Role
Authors (first, second and last of 4)

The Journal of Nonverbal Behavior publishes peer-reviewed original theoretical and empirical research papers on all major areas of nonverbal behavior. The coverage extends to paralanguage, proxemics, facial expressions, eye contact, face-to-face interaction, and nonverbal emotional expression, as well as other relevant topics which contribute to the scientific understanding of nonverbal processes and behavior.
This special issue invites empirical and theoretical papers that advance our understanding of how emotions are expressed through other channels of nonverbal communication such as body posture, gesture, odor, spacing, and paralinguistic cues. We welcome papers from social psychologists, communication researchers, anthropologists, comparative psychologists, and others with an eye toward integrating disparate literatures on this interesting topic.

As a result of the significant disruption that is being caused by the COVID-19 pandemic we are very aware that many researchers will have difficulty in meeting the timelines associated with our peer review process during normal times. Please do let us know if you need additional time. Our systems will continue to remind you of the original timelines but we intend to be highly flexible at this time.
