Aims and scope

The Journal of Inorganic and Organometallic Polymers and Materials [JIOPM] is a comprehensive resource for reports on the latest theoretical and experimental research in inorganic and organometallic polymers and materials. This monthly journal encompasses a broad range of synthetic and natural substances that contain main group, transition, and inner transition elements. The publication includes fully peer-reviewed original papers and shorter communications, as well as topical review papers that address the synthesis, characterization, evaluation, phenomena, and applications of inorganic and organometallic polymers, materials derived from inorganic and organometallic polymers, and supramolecular self-assembled macromolecular systems that involve inorganic and organometallic polymers.

The JOIPM will not consider manuscripts in the following areas:
  • Alloys
  • Cements
  • Nanomaterials composed of metals, metal oxides, and metal salts unless there is direct experimental evidence that they are self-assembled and coordinately bonded to other substrates (e.g., biomolecules, organic polymers).
