Call for Papers: Selected Papers from the "DevIC 2021"
As the silicon based semiconductor devices approaches its ultimate scaling limits, alternative device structures and materials are emerging rapidly to complement or replace conventional silicon-based devices. One approach is to use alternate nonconventional device structures to continue the historical cadence of scaling. The alternate approach uses emerging electronic and optoelectronic materials for the design of next generation device and circuit applications. Following the alternate approach, this special issue aims to provide recent advances in the design and synthesis of promising electronic, optical, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), carbon-based materials, nanoarchitectured materials for application in devices and circuits with improved performances.
Intense research is underway for design and synthesis of these materials, development of new methods and approaches for application in devices and circuits with improved performances.
Therefore, it is important and timely to report and publish the key technological changes in the experimental work on emerging electronic and optical materials to report the vast amount of knowledge generated in this rapidly expanding field of specialization.
This Special Issue will be a collection of full papers and review papers focusing on recent advances in the field of experimental work on emerging electronic materials, semiconductor nanostructures and devices based on them.
The aim of this special issue is to bring together recent advances in promising nano- and optoelectronic materials for device and circuit applications.
Paper must be new, and present original materials that have not been submitted, accepted, published, or copyrighted elsewhere will be solicited over the range of topics. In order to maintain the Journal’s high standards, papers will be sent to at least two referees for peer review, and in the event of disagreement will be sent to a third reviewer—for arbitration.
New papers, or extended versions of papers presented at related conferences, are welcome. Conference papers may be submitted only if they are substantially extended (more than 50%), and must be referenced.
All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed using the standards of journals, and accepted based on quality, originality, novelty, and relevance to the theme of the special section.
