Aims and scope

The Journal of Inclusion Phenomena and Macrocyclic Chemistry is the premier journal reporting on original research in the area of Supramolecular Chemistry with a particular focus on the characterization of molecular recognition phenomena in solution. Topics include but  not necessarily limited to the preparation and characterization of new hosts and their complexes, the development of supramolecular catalysts and the application of host-guest systems in areas such as pharmaceutical, medicinal, or analytical chemistry, the development of chemosensors and self-assembly.

From time to time, the journal also presents critical reviews dealing with recent advances in the field and original research into all aspects of Supramolecular Chemistry.

- Covers the preparation of new hosts and host-guest systems and their characterization by using spectroscopic, thermodynamic, crystallographic and theoretical methods
- Describes applications of host-guest systems
- Ranks among the top 50% of journals in the field of Chemistry
- 52% of authors who answered a survey reported that they would definitely publish or probably publish in the journal again
