Description
Authors of important contributions to the Journal of Intelligent & Robotic Systems from the past are being invited to submit a paper on changes and developments in their fields since publishing their papers spanning these 35 years.

Please indicate that you wish your manuscript to be considered for the special issue on "Topical Issue on 35th Anniversary". All submitted papers will be reviewed as soon as they are received. 

Submitted papers should present original, unpublished work, relevant to one of the topics of the Special Issue. All papers will be evaluated on the basis of relevance, significance of contribution, technical quality, scholarship, and quality of presentation by at least two reviewers. It is the policy of the journal that no submission, or substantially overlapping submission, be published or be under review at another journal or conference at any time during the review process. Final decisions on all papers are made by the Editor-in-Chief.


Guest Editor Biography
Prof. Kimon P. Valavanis is a John Evans Professor, Director of Research and Innovation, and Director of the Unmanned Systems Research Institute, D. F. Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science, University of Denver. His research interests span Unmanned Systems, Distributed Intelligence Systems, Robotics and Automation. He has published works widely. He has been the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Intelligent and Robotic Systems since 2006. He serves as co-chair/chair of the Aerial Robotics and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Technical Committee. He founded/launched the International Conference on Unmanned Aircraft Systems, which he runs annually.
