Journal of Family and Economic Issues - Call for Papers: Household Finance, Debt, and Vulnerability

We would like to invite researchers to submit original micro- and macro-level studies on the above theme to be considered for presentation at the in-person conference to be held at Beijing Technology and Business University, Beijing, China, on December 16, 2023. A maximum of 30 papers related to this special issue will be selected for presentations.

Contributors should submit their manuscripts in English to Dr. Pengpeng Yue at yuepengpeng@btbu.edu.cn (this opens in a new tab) by November 1 (11:59 pm CST), 2023. The subject of the email should be “Manuscript for Submission to the SI of JFEI”. Dr. Yue has been appointed as the Guest Editor of this JFEI's special issue.

Authors will be informed by November 15, 2023, whether or not they are invited to present their paper at the conference. Authors of selected papers will be invited after the conference to submit their revised manuscripts for consideration for publication in a special issue of the Journal of Family and Economic Issues (JFEI).

Only articles of sufficient merit will be accepted for publication in the special issue after a further review process. This manuscript will be due by January 31, 2024, and sent out for peer review. Accepted submissions will be published online as they are available. We anticipate that the special issue will be released in print early in 2025. There are no submission and publication fees or page charges for the journal.

All submissions should include the following sections: Introduction/Theoretical Background, Methodology, Preliminary Results, Preliminary Discussion/Implications, and have to be policy oriented and in English. Empirical research articles are most welcomed. However, experimental, theoretical, or empirical case studies will also be considered. All submissions should adhere to APA (7.0) format and style.
