Valentine Roux is Director of research at the CNRS  (this opens in a new tab)(The National Center for Scientific Research, France). She is a worldwide leader in ceramic technology. She conducts researches on the evolutionary trajectories of ceramic traditions and related social groups in the southern Levant between the 5th and 3rd millennium BC. She also works in northern India to elaborate reference models aimed at enriching the anthropological interpretations of archaeological assemblages.
