  • CALL FOR PAPERS: Vyjayanthi Chari's 65th Birthday – Submission Deadline: December 31, 2024

Special Issue of the Journal of Algebraic Combinatorics in Honor of the 65th Birthday of Professor Vyjayanthi Chari

    New Content Item

    Overview

This special issue of the Journal of Algebraic Combinatorics is dedicated to Professor Vyjayanthi Chari in recognition of her research contributions as well as her extensive service to the mathematical community. Professor Chari's work has had a tremendous influence on the research in representation theory and related fields. The special issue is intended to be a collection of papers reflecting the intersections of the mathematics of Professor Chari and the areas of interest of the Journal of Algebraic Combinatorics. We are soliciting submissions reporting on current research in the appropriate areas. Authors who are interested to submit a survey article are kindly asked to contact the guest editors in advance. Articles on areas in which progress has been reported at the Conference "Algebraic and Combinatorial Methods in Representation Theory, held during 13-24 November 2023 at ICTS, Bengaluru, India" are most appropriate. All papers will be strictly refereed according to the standards of the Journal of Algebraic Combinatorics.

    List of Possible Topics

Researchers are invited to submit papers broadly related to combinatorial representation theory.

    Guest editors:

Jacob Greenstein (UC Riverside, USA) - jacobg@ucr.edu

Peter Littelmann (Univ. Koeln, Germany) - plittelm@uni-koeln.de

Papers should be submitted at the Journal of Algebraic Combinatorics website: https://www2.cloud.editorialmanager.com/jaco/default2.aspx (this opens in a new tab)

Select Article Type: Manuscript Upload your files When the system asks, "Does this manuscript belong to a special issue?" reply: Yes, then choose the option "V. Chari 65th" Complete the remainder of the submission process as required.

Paper submission deadline: December 31, 2024

  • Call for papers: Special Issue in honor of Anatoly Moiseevich Vershik

The Journal of Algebraic Combinatorics (JACO) pays homage to Professor Anatoly Moiseevich Vershik, who passed away on February 14, 2024, at the age of 90 years. He was a prolific mathematician who worked in many area of mathematics, such as Group Theory, Combinatorics, Topological Groups, Lie Groups, Measure and Integration, Dynamical Systems, Ergodic Theory, Probability theory and stochastric processes, Functional Analysis and so forth. He made major contributions to central areas of mathematics and is a highly cited mathematician.

The present Journal of Algebraic Combinatorics (JACO) special issue aims to collect top quality submissions in topics related to Prof. Vershik's work, with an emphasis on combinatorics aspects. Submissions will be handled via the JACO online platform at https://link.springer.com/journal/10801 (this opens in a new tab), or by e-mail to the guest editors and will be thoroughly refereed. We cordially invite all interested parties to submit their work to the special issue, in celebration of Prof. Vershik's career, legacy and mathematical contributions.
