Special Issue of the Journal of Algebraic Combinatorics commemorating the 50th Southeastern International Conference on Combinatorics, Graph Theory, and Computing (SEICCGTC 2019)
Overview
This special issue commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Southeastern International Conference on Combinatorics, Graph Theory and Computing. For a half century, the Conference has promoted better understanding of the roles of modern applied mathematics, combinatorics, and computer science to acquaint the investigators in each of these areas with the various techniques and algorithms which are available to assist in his or her research. Each discipline has contributed greatly to the others, and the purpose of the Conference is to close the gaps between the fields even further.
The special issue is intended to be a collection of papers reflecting the intersections of the mathematics presented over the past fifty years at the Conference and the areas of interest of the Journal of Algebraic Combinatorics. It is not intended to be a collection of papers presented at the 50th Conference. We are soliciting submissions reporting on current research in the appropriate areas, as well as more retrospective papers. Articles on areas in which progress has been reported on at the Conference over a period of time are most appropriate.
List of Possible Topics
Researchers are invited to submit papers broadly related to algebraic combinatorics. Potential topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Matroid theory
- Poset theory
- Polytopes and polyhedra
- Group theory and representation theory
- Algebraic aspects of graph theory
- Lattice theory
- Combinatorial commutative algebra
- Symmetric functions
- Combinatorial aspects of simplicial
complexes
Submission Procedure and Important Dates

- Uplaod your files
- When the system asks, "Does this manuscript belong to a special issue?" reply: Yes, then choose the option "Southeastern50"
- Complete the remainder of the submission process as required.
Paper submission deadline: June 10, 2019
Revision submission deadline: November 10, 2019
Notification of decision (approx.): January 10, 2020
Accepted papers are made available online on the Springer website soon after acceptance; publication date of print version will be determined when the entire collection is finalized.
