International Journal of Thermophysics - 22nd European Conference on Thermophysical Properties, Venice, 10-13 September 2023
Last week over 300 researchers gathered at the IUAV University of Venice for the 22nd edition of the European Conference on Thermophysical Properties (this opens in a new tab) (ECTP). Delayed by three years due to the Covid pandemic, this was a first opportunity for many in the thermophysics community to come together. Delegates were rewarded with a rich scientific and social program in a wonderful and unique setting. Thanks go to the local organising committee, in particular the chair and co-chair, Alberto Muscio and Laura Fedele.
The ECTP gala dinner allowed the opportunity to present the 2023 Ared Cezairliyan Best Paper Award (this opens in a new tab); our congratulations go to Dr Bruno Hay and his co-authors from the Laboratoire National de Métrologie et d'Essais in France.
Congratulations also to IJT Advisory Board Member Dr Thomas Manfred Koller (Friedrich-Alexander-Universität, Erlangen, Germany), a deserved winner of the ECTP-NETZSCH Young Scientist Award (this opens in a new tab).
And last but most certainly not least, sincere and warm congratulations to IJT Editor-in-Chief, Prof Marc Assael, recipient of the ECTP Lifetime Award, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to thermophysical properties research over a 47-year career. Congratulations Marc!
A special issue (this opens in a new tab) featuring selected invited papers from ECTP 2023 will be published in IJT. Guest Editors are Alberto Muscio, Laura Fedele, Sir William Wakeham and Marc Assael, deadline for submissions is November 15th 2023.
