General Relativity and Gravitation - Mairi Sakellariadou new President of the European Physical Society
Congratulations to our Editor-in-Chief!

Mairi Sakellariadou of King's College London has started her term as President of the European Physical Society (EPS (this opens in a new tab)) – congratulations! At the recent EPS Council Meeting in Berlin she followed Luc Bergé, who held this office from 2021 to 2024.
In an Editorial of europhysicsnews, she laid out the Society's main objectives:
- Strengthen the position of Europe
- Orient scientific policy in Europe
- Adapt higher education to fast changing professional demands
- Maintain and reinforce the role of EPS in Europe and beyond
- Make science attractive without barriers
Mairi Sakellariadou leads the journal General Relativity and Gravitation as one of two Editors-in-Chief since 2020.
