The 2023 Extremes Journal Prize for the Best Paper of a Young Researcher was presented to Manuel Jan Hentschel (University of Geneva) at the 13th Extreme Value Analysis Conference for the paper "Statistical Inference for H”usler-Reiss Graphical Models Through Matrix Completions". Congratulations!

This year's EVA conference took place at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy in June 2023.


2021

The 2021 Extremes Journal Prize for the Best Paper of a Young Researcher was presented to Hrvoje Planinic (University of Zagreb) at the 12th Extreme Value Analysis Conference for the paper "Palm Theory for Extremes of Stationary Regularly Varying Time Series and Random Fields". Congratulations!

This year's EVA conference took place virtually. We hope to see you at the next conference to be held at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy in June 2023.

2019

During the 11th international conference on Extreme Value Analysis, taking place at the University of Zagreb in Croatia, the Extremes Journal Prize for the Best Paper of a Young Researcher was awarded to Zheng Gao (University of Michigan) for his paper “Concentration of maxima and the fundamental limits of exact support recovery in high dimensions.” Congratulations!
