The European Journal of Population aims to improve understanding of population phenomena by giving priority to work that contributes to the development of theory and method, and that spans the boundaries between demography and such disciplines as sociology, anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science, epidemiology and other sciences contributing to public health. Contributors come from around the world, and the coverage includes both European and non-European countries.
The journal addresses a broad public of researchers, policy makers and others concerned with population processes and their consequences.
We are excited to announce that European Journal of Population has now become a fully open access (OA) journal as of January 2023. This means that we are no longer accepting non-OA articles for submission. All new content published in the journal will be published under an open access licence, and freely available to readers worldwide, enabling the widest possible dissemination and reuse.
As of 2021, the European Journal of Population has a new Editor-in-Chief, Trude Lappegård. Read more...
