Call for Papers on Electronic Commerce Technologies in Finance

Electronic Commerce Research is seeking submissions to a forthcoming Special Issue on Electronic Commerce Technologies in Finance. 

Advances in digital technologies hold considerable potential to improve productivity and economic growth, and to create new challenges and opportunities. As much as two-thirds of potential productivity growth in finance over the next decade will be from new digital technologies. This special issue seeks to stimulate research into electronic commerce supporting financial tasks.

Selected papers from three conferences will be fast tracked for this journal:

  1. The International Conference on Business and Technology "ICBT’2022" https://embta.com/,
  2. The 2nd International Conference: Finance, Accounting & Law in the Digital Age, https://www.conference-es.com/, and
  3. The CBF International Conference on Business and Technology "CBF’2023" https://ahliacbf.com/.

Also, Papers on any FinTech, Digital Technology and Electronic commerce-related topic are welcome, topics will include but not be limited to:

  • Marketing and customer relationship management in financial Electronic Commerce.
  • Mobile Electronic Commerce in Finance.
  • Automation in Finance.
  • The shifting talent pool and changing employee experience in finance.
  • Digital finance, FinTech, and sustainable economic growth.
  • Industry Agglomeration in Electronic Commerce.
  • The Impact of the level of Financial Big Data Expansion on Electronic Commerce.
  • FinTech and the digital transformation of financial services: implications for market structure and public policy.

Submission Guideline:
All papers will undergo a blind refereeing process conducted by at least two referees and only original and unpublished research papers shall be considered. In preparing manuscripts, authors are asked to follow the Author Guidelines available on the journal homepage at:

Short Bios of the Guest Editors:

Anas Ali Al-Qudah is Acting Dean of Faculty of Business and Head of Accounting and Finance Department in Liwa College of Technology, Abu Dhabi UAE. Anas does research in Accounting, Finance, Social entrepreneurship, Sustainable development, and Economic growth. Also, he is leading some special issues in the Fintech field with some ranked Journals as a guest editor, in addition to his role as a reviewer in many ranked Journals (e.g., Scopus and Clarivate Analytics). 

Abdulmuttaleb M.A Al-Sartawi is Chairperson of the Accounting, Finance & Banking Department at Ahlia University, the Kingdom of Bahrain. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Electronic Banking (IJEBank), Inderscience. Al-Sartawi received his PhD in Accounting from the University of Banking and Financial Science (UBFS). He has presented and published many papers in regional and international conferences and journals. In addition, Al-Sartawi is the chair and the editor of two international conferences: the European, Asian, Middle Eastern, North African Conference on Management & Information Systems (EAMMIS) and the International Conference on Global Economic Revolutions (ICGER). 

Manaf Mowfaq Al-Okaily serves as an Assistant Professor of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) at Jadara University, Jordan. Al-Okaily earned his Doctor of Philosophy in AIS from University Malaysia Terengganu, Malaysia. His current research interest is in the domain of Digital Transformation in Accounting and Finance, Intelligent Accounting Systems, as well as FinTech Acceptance and Adoption. Al-Okaily has published more than 40 scholarly articles in reputable and leading academic journals including Information Technology & People, Technology in Society, Electronic Commerce Research, EuroMed Journal of Business, Kybernetes Journal, VINE Journal and the TQM Journal. On top of that, he has reviewed several referred articles in highly ranked journals (e.g., Scopus and Clarivate Analytics).
