Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds - Call for Papers

In 2024 the journal "Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds" will publish a special issue "Synthesis and properties of heterocyclic compounds in the light of the quantum-chemical studies".

While many efficient approaches to creating heterocyclic compounds and their derivatives can be found in the literature, the development of new procedures is in continuous demand. Particularly, development of novel synthetic methodologies toward heterocyclic compounds, aiming at attaining better levels of molecular complexity and improved functional group compatibility in a convergent and atom economical fashion from easily available starting compounds under mild reaction conditions, is lately one of the major research activities. Recently, molecular modeling has emerged as an effective and relevant approach in this filed. Today, quantum chemical calculations play an increasingly important role in chemical research. They offer the real promise of being able to complement experiment as a means to uncover and explore new chemistry.

This thematic issue is principally dedicated to the presentation of new, important discoveries explaining the molecular mechanism of the formation of heterocyclic compounds as well as computational simulation of the molecular structure and properties of heterocyclic organic compounds.
