Celestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy - Call for papers: “Dynamics and physics in the solar system”

The journal Celestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy is planning to publish a thematic collection of papers on "Dynamics and physics in the solar system: The legacy of Paolo Farinella and Andrea Milani" (this opens in a new tab).

We invite authors to submit high-quality original contributions that address problems related to the dynamics and physics in the solar system. The topical collection will include original articles from leading researchers in the field. We invite all authors to submit a paper. Subjects will include:

  • dynamics and physics of small bodies,
  • dynamics of space debris,
  • formation of planetary systems,
  • dynamics and observations of natural and artificial bodies,
  • orbit determination and propagation,
  • space missions and spacecraft dynamics,
  • stability and long-term evolution of planetary systems

Deadline

Submissions will be accepted until 30 September 2024. All papers will be reviewed as in normal issues. Of course, if a paper is not accepted for the Topical Collection, it can be published in a regular issue.

Guest Editors
