Celestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy - Call for papers: “Dissipative problems in Celestial Mechanics and Astrodynamics”

The journal Celestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy is planning to publish a thematic collection of papers on "Dissipative problems in Celestial Mechanics and Astrodynamics" (this opens in a new tab), which hopes to include original articles from leading researchers in the field. The aim is to bring attention to this topic and to stimulate further research.

We invite all authors to contribute to this Topical Collection with a research paper.

Subjects will include (non-exhaustive list):

  • Tidal effects,
  • Poynting–Robertson effect,
  • Stokes drag,
  • Atmospheric drag,
  • Yarkovski effect,
  • YORP effect,
  • Anisotropic radiation pressure,
  • Dissipation induced instability,
  • Orbital decay and circularization,
