Clinical Child and Family Psychology Review - Introducing Clinical Child and Family Psychology Review's Incoming Editor-in-Chief!

Dr Lara Farrell is a Clinical Psychologist and Professor within the School of Applied Psychology, Griffith University, Gold Coast Campus. She also serves as Deputy Director for the Centre for Mental Health, Griffith University. Dr Farrell conducts clinical research in the field of childhood anxiety and obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders. Her work has involved numerous highly cited clinical trials for child anxiety/phobias and OCD, including prevention trials, group treatments, intensive treatments, digital and virtual reality interventions, and novel pharmacological augmentation of CBT. She has a particular interest in the dissemination of evidence-based treatments via multiple modalities of care, and implementation of evidence-based practice in community settings. She has published more than 130 peer-reviewed papers and/or chapters in her field of research. She has previously served as Associate Editor for Child Psychiatry and Human Development and the Journal of Cognitive Psychotherapy. Dr Farrell regularly serves on international research grant review committee’s and has served on several Australian NHMRC and MRFF Grant Review Panels. She oversees the OCD Busters and Child Phobia research treatment programs at Griffith University.
