European Journal of Ageing - Call for Associate Editors!

The European Journal of Ageing invites applications for Associate Editors to join the editorial team of the journal.

Ideal candidates are actively engaged in research, possess substantial experience as a reviewer in refereed scholarly publications and are capable of demonstrating the requisite level of expertise and dedication to develop the Journal's reputation for disseminating innovative research of the highest quality.

Reporting to the Editors in Chief as a member of the journal team, the Associate Editor will support the visibility, scientific standing and quality of the journal. The editor will be responsible for handling primary manuscripts in a relevant area and for managing the peer review process.

All applications are welcome, with preference for experts in the following areas:

  • Research areas: Caregiving in later life; Retirement/labour market participation in later life; Technology & ageing; Friendship, social networks, social support; Social isolation, loneliness & health.
  • High methodological expertise: qualitative or quantitative research methods.

Applications should contain:

  • A motivation letter, including why you are interested in this role and what your vision is on the future of the European Journal of Ageing.
  • A short CV of maximum 2 pages, including your editorial experience (if any).
