Journal of the International Consortium on Landslides
As catastrophic events, landslides can cause human injury, loss of life and economic devastation, and destroy construction works and cultural and natural heritage. The journal Landslides is the common platform for publication of integrated research on all aspects of landslides. The journal publishes research papers, news of recent landslide events and information on the activities of the International Consortium on Landslides.
Coverage includes landslide dynamics, mechanisms and processes; volcanic, urban, marine and reservoir landslides; related tsunamis and seiches; hazard assessment and mapping; modeling, monitoring, GIS techniques; remedial or preventive measures; early warning and evacuation and a global landslide database.
Landslides has been accepted at Thompson ISI for coverage in Science Citation Index Expanded, Current Contents/Physical Chemical and Earth Sciences and Current Contents/Engineering Computing and Technology.
The thematic issues “Sendai Landslide Partnerships 2015-2025” will be published as Vol.17-10 and Vol.17-11 and closed in November 2020. Due to COVOD-19, WLF5 was postponed to 2-6 November 2021.
Papers are called for a new thematic issue “Kyoto Landslide Commitment 2020”. The thematic issue will be published as Vol.18-10 or/and Vol.18-11 in 2021. The corresponding authors will be welcomed to deliver invited lecture in WLF5 2021.
A new category of Landslide News has been created. Papers in this category, to be submitted within 3 months after occurrence, contain news of landslides causing high impacts to society and the environment.
Length of a news article will be 1-4 printed pages, including photos, geographic location, triggering factors, and impacts to society and the environment. Authors or others inspired by this news can contribute another article, including detailed analysis, to the category of Recent Landslides (6-10 pages), Technical Notes (4-8 pages) or Original papers (less than 12 ages).
