Journal of General Plant Pathology - Permission requests

To reuse materials published in the Journal of General Plant Pathology, you will need to obtain permission from the copyright holder.

Volume 68 or earlier

Please fill in the permission form (this opens in a new tab) and send the file to the Phytopathological Society of Japan (byori@juno.ocn.ne.jp).

Volume 69 or after

Please submit your permission request online by following the steps below.

  1. Locate the desired JGPP content on SpringerLink (this opens in a new tab).
  2. Click on the “Reprints and Permissions” button at the bottom of the article page.
  3. You will be taken to the article’s RightsLink page.
  4. Select the way you would like to reuse the content.
  5. Once the fields have been selected/filled out, click on the “Quick Price” button to see if your reuse will involve any costs.
  6. Click "Continue". Create a RightsLink account if you haven’t already, or sign in.
  7. Provide additional information about the materials you are reusing and your new work.
  8. Review your request and accept the terms and conditions to complete the process, or click on "SUBMIT REQUEST" button in the bottom right corner (this appears if further review by Springer Nature is required).

In certain circumstances, you do not need permission to reuse JGPP materials:

  • If you are the author of the original work, please check the publishing agreement (Copyright Transfer Statement / License to Publish) to see if it allows you to reuse your own materials the way you intend to.
  • If the original article is open access, please check the “Copyright Information” in the article PDF for details on the license under which the article is distributed and what types of reuse are permitted.

If you are unsure, you can always submit a permission request and get their confirmation.
