Call for Papers - Tissue Engineering and Biomaterial Research in Hernia Repair

Dear Hernia Readers,

Professor G. Campanelli, Editor-in-Chief of Hernia, is pleased to announce the launch of a new Forum on Tissue Engineering and Biomaterial Research in Hernia Repair.

The Guest Editor of this Topical Issue, which we aim to publish in the second half of 2020, will be Alexander Petter-Puchner in coordination with Co-Editors Ulrich Dietz and Neil Smart. 

 We have already invited highly distinguished authors to submit their reviews and original articles to the Journal.

We are inviting you to join the Forum by submitting your contributions by 30th June 2020. We welcome suitable Review and Original articles, which will be peer-reviewed and assessed for originality and relevance to the topic of tissue engineering and biomaterial research.

 Hernia is the World Journal of Hernia and Abdominal Wall Surgery and is affiliated with the European Hernia Society (EHS), the America Hernia Society (AHS) and the Asia Pacific Hernia Society (APHS).

The journal was founded in 1997 with the aim of making the surgical daily activities easier and safer by offering a forum for the exchange of new results and ideas to all surgeons. It publishes advances clinical studies and basic research applied to groin hernias, internal hernias, the abdominal wall, the diaphragm and the perineum.

The Journal’s 2018 Impact Factor is 2.288 and it ranks 73rd in the Clarivate ‘Surgery’ category.  In 2019, the Journal’s average time to first decision was 36 days.
