The international journal Marine Biology, is looking for additional Associate Editors with expertise in fish biology/ecology in particular, but also welcomes new editors in all fields of marine biology.
We are looking for enthusiastic researchers with publishing and peer review experience who would like to expand their CV with an exciting and challenging position.
The Associate Editors are tasked with the peer review of manuscripts within their field of expertise, appointing select reviewers to each assigned manuscript and rendering a decision recommendation. Marine Biology pays a modest editor honorarium (45.-€) for each final decision.

Marine Biology publishes original and internationally significant contributions from all fields of marine biology. Special emphasis is given to articles which promote the understanding of life in the sea, organism-environment interactions, interactions between organisms, and the functioning of the marine biosphere. While original research articles are the backbone of Marine Biology, method articles, reviews and comments are also welcome, provided that they meet the same originality, importance and quality criteria as research articles. Articles of exceptional significance are published as highlight articles. They are accompanied by an editorial comment, and they are promoted in social media.
