This book presents the role of life cycle engineering and life cycle management of products and services and their contributions to corporate environmental sustainability and the circular economy. It addresses the main techniques, tools, systems and practices for improving the environmental performance of business products and services throughout their life cycles.
The book covers the main topics and concepts related to life cycle engineering and life cycle management applied to the business context. It presents the themes through basic and in-depth theories. About the editors
Dr. José Augusto de Oliveira is Professor at University State of Sao Paulo (UNESP), campus of São João da Boa Vista/SP and leader of the research group Center for Advanced and Sustainable Technologies (CAST). He is Specialist in Life Cycle Assessment with emphasis on Cleaner Production, Ecodesign and End-of-Life Strategies.
Dr. Diogo Aparecido Lopes Silva is Professor at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Sorocaba / SP campus, in the Production Engineering course and Specialist in Life Cycle Assessment, Sustainable Manufacturing, Eco-efficiency and Ecodesign.
Dr. Fábio Neves Puglieri is Professor at the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR), campus Ponta Grossa / PR, in the Production Engineering course and Specialist in Life Cycle Management, Strategic Environmental Planning and Corporate Strategies for Sustainability.Dr. Yovana María Barrera Saavedra is Professor at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Lagoa do Sino / SP campus, Center for Natural Sciences, in the courses of Administration, Environmental Engineering, Agronomic Engineering, and Food Engineering and Specialist in Life Cycle Assessment, Ecodesign, End-of-Life Strategies, Environmental Management and Waste Management.
