About this book

This book is a collection of selected papers presented at the International Conference on Mathematical Analysis and Computing (ICMAC 2019) held at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Chennai, India, from 23–24 December 2019. Having found its applications in game theory, economics, and operations research, mathematical analysis plays an important role in analyzing models of physical systems and provides a sound logical base for problems stated in a qualitative manner. This book aims at disseminating recent advances in areas of mathematical analysis, soft computing, approximation and optimization through original research articles and expository survey papers. This book will be of value to research scholars, professors, and industrialists working in these areas.

About the editors

RAM MOHAPATRA is Professor of Mathematics at the University of Central Florida, USA. Earlier, he worked as Lecturer at the Regional College of Education, Bhubaneswar, India, and at the Post-Graduate Department of Mathematics, Sambalpur University, India, for a short time before joining the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, in February 1971. He became Associate Professor in 1975 and Professor in 1980. He spent almost one year at the University of Alberta, Canada, working with Prof. A. Sharma and Prof. Walid Al-Salam. He visited the University of Calgary, Canada, for three summers to pursue research with Prof. B. N. Sahney and Prof. Holland, and the Memorial University of Newfoundland to work with Prof. S. P. Singh for another two summers. He was a Visiting Professor at York University, Downsview, Canada, from 1983 to 1984.

Professor Mohapatra has written over 165 research papers published in several peer-reviewed journals, proceedings and edited seven books, five of which have been published with Springer. He has co-authored a monograph, Theory of Fuzzy Differential Equations and Inclusions, with late Prof. V. Lakshmikantham, and a book titled Biomedical Statistics with Computing with Dr. Surya Narayan Mohapatra and Prof. Mary H. Regier. His research area is diverse and includes sequence spaces, summability theory, geometric function theory, approximation of functions and splines, frame theory and wavelets, differential equations arising in fluid dynamics, optimization theory, variational inequalities, behavioral cyber security, and image encryption.

S. YUGESH is Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Tamil Nadu, India. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Anna University, Chennai, India, in 2016. Dr. Yugesh has co-edited a book and his research papers have been published in reputed journals and conference proceedings. His areas of research include sampling theory, frame theory, splines and wavelets.

G. KALPANA is Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Tamil Nadu, India. She earned her Ph.D. degree from Anna University, Chennai, India. Her research papers have been published in several peer-reviewed journals and in national and international conference proceedings. Her current research work is in the area of fuzzy metric spaces and supremum metric on fuzzy sets.

C. KALAIVANI is Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Tamil Nadu, India.
