Laura Nuño de la Rosa, Ph.D., is a philosopher of science working on the history and philosophy of evolutionary biology, with a special emphasis on evo-devo. Graduated in Humanities, in 2010 she completed a master’s degree in biophysics from the Autonomous University of Madrid. In 2012, she obtained a Ph.D. in philosophy, with a thesis on the problem of organismal form, jointly from Complutense University of Madrid and Pantheon-Sorbonne University. After enjoying postdoc positions at the KLI Institute and the University of the Basque Country, Dr. Nuño de la Rosa joined the Department of Logic and Theoretical Philosophy at the Complutense University in 2015.
Gerd B. Müller, M.D., Ph.D., is professor emeritus at the University of Vienna, Austria, where he headed the Department of Theoretical Biology. He is president of the Konrad Lorenz Institute for Evolution and Cognition Research in Klosterneuburg, Austria, and president of the European Society for Evolutionary Developmental Biology. His research interests include developmental patterning, evolutionary innovation, evo-devo, and evolutionary theory.
