About the authors
Lucia Alessi holds a PhD in Economics and Management, and is a senior economist at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission.
Marco Petracco Giudici is a senior economist at the Finance and Economy Unit of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. He is currently working on financial stability issues and on new developments in finance.
Wim Schoutens holds a PhD in Mathematics and is a Professor at KU Leuven. An expert advisor and consultant to the banking industry and to national and supra-national institutions, he is on the editorial boards of a number of international finance journals and is a founding partner of RiskConcile.Eline Van der Auwera holds an MSc in Mathematics and in Actuarial and Financial Engineering (KU Leuven). She is currently pursuing a PhD in (sustainable) Finance at the KU Leuven.
