Publishing Director, Toby Charkin, about the Discover Series
“Taking advantage of publisher resources, AI and deep learning technologies, we can streamline the submission process and shorten the time to publication. Combine this with both in-house and external editorial expertise, and the Discover Series offers a more user-friendly, personal journey for authors. We are committed to becoming more efficient in delivering value to and serving our research community. We see this new series as a positive example of that commitment.”
“Discover Education provides a new and exciting option for educational researchers. It will highlight creative and innovative research designed to improve the lives of individuals and society. Researchers who want to make a difference will choose Discover Education for the value it will bring to local and global communities.”
“Psychology research has expanded over the past few decades to include studies that aim to understand how we function in different environments, such as at the workplace, with family, with strangers, and even on the internet. While psychological studies were traditionally focused on the treatments of clinical disorders, in the past two decades, many researchers now focus on how psychology interacts with other fields. Discover Psychology is an international, inclusive journal that covers all aspects of psychology.”
“In launching the new journal Discover Epidemics, we recognize the dramatic impact of infectious disease pandemics globally, while focusing in parallel on epidemics of chronic diseases (misguidedly termed NCDs) and behavioral practices that share many traits with infectious diseases. Our goal will be to rapidly disseminate research and dialogue on all types, aspects, and attributes of epidemics.”
