About this book

The volume is part of the series III/27, that covers magnetic properties of non-metallic inorganic compounds based on transition elements. The subvolumes III/27B are to cover all the lanthanide pnictides and lanthanides chalcogenides. The present volume 27B5 is divided into three chapters, each comprising a survey, figures and tables, and a list of references. The first chapter, dealing with ternary lanthanide chalcogenides based on transition metals (d-electron elements), continues the preceding subvolume B4. The last chapter includes the other ternary lanthanide chalcogenides, i.e. those based on s-, p- or f-electron elements, as well as ternary lanthanide pnictides. The intermediate chapter is made up of misfit compounds, i.e. ternary lanthanide chalcogenides with a layered crystal structure.
