Member of following professional bodies: Tanzania Geographical Association; International Geographical Union Commission on Marine Geography; Third World Organization for Women in Science and Technology (TWOWS; Women in Science and Technology in Africa Network (WISTAN) World Learning Conservation Network, Southern Africa; Commission on Education and Communication (IUCN).
