About the editors

Dr. Delphine J. Lee is the Chief of Dermatology and Residency Program Director at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center located in the South Bay.  She received her MD and PhD at University of California, San Diego and completed her dermatology residency training and postdoctoral fellowship at University of California, Los Angeles.  After serving on the faculty at UCLA for five years, she moved to build the Department of Translational Immunology at John Wayne Cancer Institute where her team developed studies utilizing bioinformatic approaches combined with immune studies to gain new insights into melanoma.  She currently conducts translational studies on host-microbe associations and interactions in melanoma and other cancers at Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute and serves as chair and standing member of the NIAMS AMS review committee.

  

Dr. Mark Faries is the Co-Director of the Melanoma Program at the Angeles Clinic and Research Institute and Head of the Surgical Oncology Division. He received his medical degree from Cornell University and completed surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania. His Fellowship in surgical oncology was at the John Wayne Cancer Institute where he trained under Donald L. Morton. He conducts clinical and translational research in melanoma and immunotherapy and is the Principal Investigator of the Multicenter Selective Lymphadenectomy (II) Trial. He serves on the Editorial Board of of the Annals of Surgical Oncology and is a member of the American Joint Committee on Cancer’s Melanoma Staging Committee.
