About the author

Thomas J.C. Eun has more than 38 years of experience as a chief metallurgist and mechanical integrity specialist, specializing in materials selection, corrosion control, welding, and troubleshooting. He is currently working as a consultant for multi-companies. Prior to this role, he has worked for a number of leading firms during his career, including KBR, Bechtel, Foster Wheeler, Jacobs, Fluor, Suncor Energy, Exterran, GS E&C, and Hyundai Heavy Industries.  He received his M.S. degree and Ph.D Candidate in Metallurgical (Corrosion) Engineering from Yonsei University, his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ulsan University, and is a member of several technical committees in NACE International and API.  He also has several certifications, NACE Corrosion Specialist, NACE Materials Selection/Design Specialist, and Professional Engineer for Mechanical, Welding and Metallic Materials.
