About the authors

Zhigang Fang, Ph.D. in marine and ocean engineering, is research fellow of the Naval Research Academy of China, and a distinguished professor of Harbin Engineering University, who has been long engaged in the field of ship materials and corrosion protection. He presided over the medium and long-term development plan for ship materials and corrosion protection, and proposed to establish a technical system for system control and comprehensive management of ship corrosion in China. At the same time, he has done a lot of work on the theory and application technology research of aluminum alloy marine corrosion control.

Jingyi Cao, Ph.D. in materials science, is research fellow of the Naval Research Academy of China. She is an expert in the field of marine materials, and chief scientist of the United Nations Environmental Protection Agency's anti-sea bio-paint upgrade special project in China. She has long been engaged in the analysis and evaluation of marine coatings. Dr. Cao holds20 Chinese invention patents, and has published 8 books.

Yong Guan, Ph.D. in materials science, is associate research fellow of Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has been mainly engaged in the marine materials and corrosion protection technology, focusing on aluminum alloy corrosion protection technology, metal corrosion non-destructive monitoring technology, etc.
