LOUISE MULLANY is Associate Professor of Sociolinguistics at the University of Nottingham, UK. Her research primarily focuses on language and gender in business, media and medical settings. She has published in a range of international journals and edited collections on gender and professional discourse. Her other books include the co-authored Introducing the English Language and Language, Gender and Feminism: Theory and Methodology and the co-edited Routledge Companion to Sociolinguistics.
